Keenan und der gesamte Coaching Staff entlassen (bis auf Playfair)

Die Flames entliessen nach einem weiteren Erstrunden aus den gesamten Coaching Staff. Nur Jim Playfiar durfte bleiben. Darryl Sutter hat 3 GMs auf der Liste, die seiner Meinung nach die Flames führen könnten (unter ihnen verm. Sein Bruder Brent). Sollte er keinen dieses signen können, wird er selber wieder hinter die Bande klettern.

Flames signen RFA Curtis McElhenney und

Keeper Curtis McElhenney bekommt einen neuen Vertrag. Terms ar not disclosed.

Abbotsford Heat/Flames signen RFA Kyle Greentree

Das neue AHL TEam der Flames signed den letztjährigen Topscorer Greentree. Ob One oder Two Way ist nicht bekannt.

Abbotsford Heat benennen Jim Playfair als Headcoach

Jim Playfair bleibt der Franchise erhalten und wird HC des AHL Teams. Der ehemalige HC Ryan McGill wird wohl nach Calgary aufrücken.

Signings für Abbotsford

Murray, from Regina, has eight goals and two assists in 116 career NHL games with Phoenix, Florida, Montreal and the New York Rangers.

The 27-year-old compiled 11 goals and 10 assists in 64 games for the San Antonio Rampage last season and also played 10 games with the parent club in Phoenix. Murray, who is six foot two and 215 pounds, was the 79th pick of the New York Rangers in the 2001 draft.

Saskatoon native Armstrong spent the last five seasons playing in the San Jose Sharks minor-league system and has appeared in two NHL games. The 25-year-old had 25 goals, 17 assists and 101 penalty minutes in 71 games for Worcester last season.

Late Flames addition on the first day of free agency included  minor-league defenceman Staffan Kronwall, who played with the AHL's Toronto Marlies, Hershey Bears.

Calgary also announced Rob Cookson will return as an assistant coach.

HC des Kelly Cup Siegers wird AC in Abbotsford

Auch Jamie Lundmark bleibt (wie von mir gehofft) bei den Flames. Er war eine Stütze in QC und seinen Job als Call Up hat er mMn sehr gut gemacht. Er hat einen 1 Jahres 2 Wege Vertrag für 600Tsd $. Lundmark zu noch besseren Konditionen als letztes Jahr, sehr gut Darryl  :headb:

Er spielte bei den Hitmen die letzten 2 Jahre und ist dort wohl bei Coack Dave Lowry gut angekommen. Warum die Caps ihn für Future Considerations abgeben frag ich mich wirklich, da er ja auch mit Caps-Nachwuchs-Hoffnung Alzner ein gutes Tandem gebildet hatte bei den Hitmen und auch von den Stats her nicht gerade schlecht daher kommt.....

Chucko, a native of Burnaby, British Columbia, spent the past three seasons with the Calgary Flames affiliate in the American Hockey League. Chucko finished second in goals (28) and third in team scoring (51 points) with the Quad City Flames last season, and played his first two NHL games with Calgary in March.

Chucko was the Calgary Flames 1st round pick (24th overall) in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.

The 5'10", 189-pound goalie had his best season in 2004-05, when he was named OHL Goaltender of the Year for the Mississauga IceDogs. Ouzas put up a 24-11-9 record with a career-best .926 save percentage.

Fleury bekommt nen Try-out Vertrag

Shantz bekommt Minor-League Vertrag

The Hamilton, ontario native played with Mississauga and Peterborough of the OHL before signing his professional contract with the Panthers. Shantz was the 3rd-ranked North American goaltender by NHL Central Scouting going into the 2004 entry draft. Last year with the Petes, Shantz posted a 31-14-3 record with a 2.87 GAA. He also appeared in 19 playoff games for the Petes, who won the OHL Eastern Conference Championship, the OHL title and berth in the CHL Memorial Cup.

Die Senators haben Jonathan Cheechoo über den Waiver ins Farm Team geschickt. Erstaunlicherweise (oder auch nicht) wurde er von keinem Team gezogen. Cheechoo ist erst 29 und war 2006 bester Torjäger der Liga mit 56 Toren. Und nun darf er im Farm Team zeigen was er kann...

Bei Iggy & Kipper weiss man, was sie können, da besteht immer die Hoffnung, dass sie irgendwann wieder zu Normalform auflaufen. & Ian White war letzte Saison 1er der besten Verteidiger der Flames. Babchuk dagegen ist 1e Pfeife; früher oder später landet der in der KHL. :blll:

Na ja, offensichtlich eine "Pfeife", die es wert war, zurueck in die NHL geholt zu werden, bevor man den ach so talentierten Nordamerikanern, die nur so in den Startloechern auf ihre Chance warten, einen Roster-Spot gewaehrt... :blll:

Laut Jay Feaster hätte man White am Saisonende nicht halten können und deshalb hat man versucht noch so viel Wert wie möglich für ihn zu bekommen.Babchuk hatte vor 2 Jahren eine sehr starke Saison in Carolina und wenn er diese Form wiederfindne kann,dann haben sich die Flames sicher nicht verschlechtert.

langsam mach ich mir echt Sorgen das Iggy getradet wird!! Ist iwie nur schwer vorzustellen das er nicht mehr für die Flames wird...die Kings sind anscheinend sehr interessiert an ihm

prinzipiell sind die Kings seit 5 Jahren an allem interessiert, was bei 5 nicht auf den Bäumen ist  :devil:

mich wundert daran nur das keiner der "topstars" bei ihnen spielen will . sicherlich haben sie kopitar, brown & doughty . mit quick noch nen guten goalie aber es fehlt doch noch etwas vorne . kovy hat ja auch abgelehnt :D . vielleicht ziehts ja jarome arthur lee iginla (ahahahahah) in wärmere gefilde

Dafür haben die Kings das beste was man an Prospects in der NHL finden kann
