Die werden wohl Kaspareitis und Holik rauskaufen aber das wars wohl. Bure spielt ja garnich mehr. Kovalev und Leetch hat man abgegeben. Dunham und Messier sind UFAs. Die Zahlen bei Jagr trüden den von dessen Gehalt hat Washington die hälfte unter seinem Cap. Bin mir zwar nciht ganz sicher aber ich glaube das heißt er kann bekommt momentan trotzdem seine 8,6 M oder? weil jedes der Teams bezahlt ja 4,3 also nix is mit 20%.  :


Aber das gehört nicht hier rein.

Schneider is auf jeden fall weg. Da bin ich mir sehr sehr sicher.

Wenn man Hatcher raus kaut würde ich stattdesen nich gleich diesen häßlichen Russen nehmen.

Auccoin und Rathje sind auch UFAs ;D

naja Chelios und Schneider sind ja eigentlich schon weg.....und ich bin nach wie vor überzeugt, dass einer von Hatch oder Lidstrom rausgekauft werden muss (per trade wird man die wohl nit wegbekommen bei dem salary)

dann wäre ein Bykov vielleicht gar nit mal so schlecht

Yzerman mulls a return to Wings

DETROIT -- Steve Yzerman sounded like he still has some hockey left in him.

The 40-year-old Detroit Red Wings captain said Friday that he's in good shape, in good health, and that there's a good chance he'll be at training camp in Traverse City in September.

But he stopped short of declaring he will definitely return for his 22nd NHL season.

``I'll do whatever is best for the Red Wings,'' Yzerman said during a telephone interview from his summer home in Ontario. ``They've got some tough decisions to make.''

Yzerman and Wings general manager Ken Holland will likely meet next week. The Wings need a decision as soon as possible. They must soon start reshaping their roster to conform to a salary cap reported to be in the $39-million range.

``I think Steve is indecisive about what he wants to do,'' Holland said. ``Knowing Steve Yzerman, he's rarely indecisive, he usually knows what he wants to do. We want Steve back in the lineup, we think he would be a tremendous asset for (new coach) Mike Bab**** because Steve wants to win and he's the boss of the locker room. But at the same time, we're concerned that maybe Steve is having thoughts that he doesn't want to play.''

Yzerman said money is not an issue. He was scheduled to earn $4.5 million during the canceled 2004-05 season, but would likely need to take a significant paycut because of the cap.

He said he doesn't need any assurances from the club about what role he'll have.

``I wouldn't demand or ask for anything,'' Yzerman said. ``GMs will be buying guys out, figuring out the new (economic) system, what they have to do to get under the cap. Once the Red Wings have it figured out and have it decided, everything will work itself out.''

Yzerman said he'll go to Team Canada's pre-Olympic training camp in Kelowna, British Columbia, from Aug. 17-20. But he won't base his decision to return on his performance there. That's because it will be the first time he's skated in a while and he doesn't expect to fare well.

Yzerman said he's fully recovered from the serious facial injuries he suffered when hit by the puck during Game 5 against Calgary in the second round of the 2004 playoffs. He's also experiencing no problems with his knee, after undergoing reconstructive surgery two years ago.

Wings owner Mike Ilitch said Friday the decision to return is entirely Yzerman's.

``We all want to have Steve back, but he's 40 years old and he's had some serious injuries the last couple of years,'' Ilitch said. ``It's up to Steve. If he feels he wants to play another year, he's going to play another year.''

.... Holland said the latest news he's heard is that the Wings will have a 1 in 48 chance of winning the draft lottery for the top pick, phenom Sidney Crosby. The lottery is expected to take place on Thursday.

``We're going to go to church and be on our knees for a week, like every other team in the league,'' Holland said. ``There's a special player out there.''

.... Dmitri Bykov, a defenseman who played for the Wings during the 2002-03 season before returning to Russia, has indicated he wants to come back to Detroit. The club will consider it.

Sicher kein schlechter Defender (auf jeden Fall war er sehr gut als ich ihn live hab spielen sehn, in Detroit).. aber ob er jetzt wo Kronwall aufrücken wird, noch einen Platz im Team finden wird, ist wohl eher fraglich.. (ausser die Wings lassen wirklich Hatcher, Schneider und Chelios ziehn)

Babcock neuer Wings-Coach

Nun ist es amtlich: Mike Babcock wird in der neuen Saison als Cheftrainer der Detroit Red Wings aktiv. Franchise-Sprecher John Hahn bestätigte dies am Donnerstag auf Nachfrage. Die Wings werden ihren neuen Cheftrainer am Freitag auf einer Pressekonferenz offiziell vorstellen.

Babcock, der zuletzt die Mighty Ducks of Anaheim betreute, dort aber seinen ausgelaufenen Kontrakt nicht mehr verlängern wollte, wird in Detroit Nachfolger von Dave Lewis, dessen Vertrag in Hockeytown seitens der Franchise nicht erneuert wurde (wir berichteten).

Ich glaub aber eh nicht dran das man Hatcher auskauft man wird Whitney auskaufen doer Traden und mit Legacy das gleiche machen.

Kann ich mich nur anschließen!!!Lang zu Traden,is Falsch er ist ein so guter Spieler.Ich würde ihn behalten,aber für ihn könnte man auch einen Starken Verteidiger bekommen.

was hast du denn für ein Problem? Ich würde York auch für seine 1 Mille nicht haben wollen und er spielt nicht mehr in NAS - ya know!
