Die Flames werden laut "Inside the Flames" nächstes jahr die gleichen Jerseys haben wie letzets Jahr. Also auch die für nur 1 Saison geplanten Alberta und Canada Flags bleiben auf den Schultern. Also werden wohl auch die Deutschland-Stutzen erhalten bleiben  :

Die Flames verlängern mit Cam Cunnings. Eher für QC

In 68 games with Quad City of the American Hockey League in 2007-08, the winger recorded 11 goals and four assists for 15 points while accumulating 80 penalty minutes.

   Last time Kiprusoff trained this way - the "Turku way" - he was rewarded with the Vezina trophy.

   A year ago he tried something different. He didn't step on ice in Turku but instead travelled early in the summer to Calgary to practice.
   - I thought last summer I'd try training in Canada. The system didn't work quite as well as I had planned. Training in Calgary in the summer with a small group of guys didn't work, so this summer I decided to stay in Turku to practice.

   It says a lot of Kiprusoff's value to his team that since the Flames superstar opted this time not to spend his summer in Calgary, the coaches came to meet him in Finland. Calgary Head Coach Mike Keenan and the newly-named head of goaltending coaches Jamie McLennan came to Turku on Monday.
   - They wanted to come to say hi to me here. I also asked Mike to take part in the exhibition game as a coach.

Diese Vereinbarung betrifft auch europäische Spieler, wenn sie zum Zeitpunkt des Drafts bereits in der CHL spielten. Wurden sie jedoch aus Europa gedraftet, müssen sie nur das AHL-Mindestalter von 18 (Stichtag 15.9.) erreicht haben, um dort spielberechtigt zu sein.

Mikey Renault (verstorbener Prospect der Flames) ist auf natürliche Weise an Herzversagen gestorben. das gab seine Famiele in einem Brife bekannt. Er litt an hypertropher Kardiomyopathie.

Es gibt nur die Optionen NHL oder Schweden für Backlund. WHL möchte ER nicht, AHL darf er nicht mit 19.  Zum Thema ob er es (NHL) schaffen kann meint er:

Hat Sutter sich ja doch noch umenstchieden. Eigtl wollte er keinen Goon mehr (vorerst). Finde das auch besser das er nun noch einen verpflichtet hat, denn Nystrom und Prust zu verheizen was Fights angeht wäre mMn auch nix gewesen.....
